Overview

Welcome to Module 1 where we will cover a range of topics related to gut health and function.

We will begin by exploring the growing interest in gut health and its connection to overall health, including the increasing prevalence of digestive issues and chronic gut-related disorders. Next, we will dive into the advanced anatomy and function of the gut. We will provide an overview of the digestive system and its importance in the absorption of nutrients from food. You will learn about the anatomical components of the gastrointestinal system, including the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. We will examine the specific functions of each of these organs and how they work together to digest and absorb nutrients.
